The Thousand Creative Paths of Francesco Morini
Born in 1981, Francesco has lived a thousand lives.
A thousand — a word that keeps coming back to define him.
Among the many things he’s done, catering would eventually earn a special place… but that comes later.
In the mid-2000s, he followed a fairly classic path: switching between temp jobs and a music career.
He was a successful rapper — voice and writer — performing under the name Millelemmi.
Those were the years of classic and experimental hip hop, when he even brought a rap performance to Florence’s Teatro Comunale.
Then, everything stopped.
The feeling? That he had done everything he possibly could with music.
At least, everything he could do without killing it.
He stepped away from music because he no longer felt like using too many words.
An oxymoron: a silent rapper.
He felt the need to listen to others, to step aside, to stop standing in the spotlight.
He decided that music shouldn’t be a career — it should remain pure, made only for personal joy.
It was around that time that he met Giulia and Elena.
His love for cooking, though, goes way back.
He’s always loved its social, shared side — the togetherness.
With Kitchen Wishes, he became maître d’ and creative director of events for a very special catering company.
A catering built on dedication, creativity, and passion.
At first, the idea was to blend his musical roots with Kitchen Wishes — creating a hybrid world where dishes could be performed, danced, where music and movement became part of the dining experience.
Sometimes, he manages to make it happen — though it’s not always easy.
What drives him today is a search for love, connection, and conviviality.
The question that keeps him going every day: What do people need?
What can I bring into the atmosphere?
Grounded in a very practical world, where priorities matter, he’s always the first to arrive and the last to leave — setting up, carrying, unloading, greeting, saying goodbye.
His role is a bridge between Elena, Giulia, and the team.
He makes it possible for them to create freely — to keep the art untouched by everyday complications.
A kind of bodyguard for creativity, protecting its boundaries.
Sometimes, he’s left alone — and it feels good.
Sometimes, he performs with a jazz quartet.
Sometimes, with Kitchen Wishes, he improvises.
Because jazz can be many things — not just music.
The goal?
To walk a path with himself.
To feel good with others.
Peace — but the kind of peace that makes you smile.
